The Freaks Shall Inherit The Earth is written for those who feel they are not the “In-Crowd” — those who might Look — Think — Talk and/or Act Differently. This is the first book to be showcased in Books In Bites as this book helped start me on my journey and I want to share it. It was written by Chris Brogan and published by John Wiley & Sons in 2014. Our world was quite different 7 years ago and yet it was almost foretelling of what was to come in 2022.
HIGHLIGHTS
1. Weirdos and Misfits are the world dominators and this book is a battle cry for everyone to believe “I Can Do This” AND “Do It My Way”!
2. Disruption is the new norm and thanks to technology and the internet you do not have to wait — all you need is to find a way to get your product or service to those who are in need and options are endless.
3. Identify your own personal “Recipe for Success” — Is it money, freedom, time, fame, or other? WRITE DOWN your Recipe! Be clear on your WHY.
4. Business is about Belonging; Being on the Inside | Being Part of the Group | Feeling Part of Something | Taking that Deep Breath knowing that those around you Understand YOU!
5. Having a Business Plan | Model is necessary and simplicity is key with the 5 W’s providing the foundation — Who — What — When — Where — Why.
6. Curiosity outweighs Knowledge and learning to “Ask the Right Questions” assists you in digging deeper AND helps you fall in love with “Not Knowing”.
7. Systems provide structure and help you Get things Done! It’s technology at its best!
8. Every day ask yourself — “How can I improve the lives of my buyers and community” — As an owner of your business you should always be about “Serving Others!”
9. FEAR is just a 4-letter word AND Chris Brogan believes “his success is built entirely on his ability to fail quickly and then learn and adapt from the results of that failure”.
10. The internet has changed power structures and borders are but fictional boundaries. We are in control of where we choose to Venture — Explore — Dominate!
AUTHOR’S INTENT (in my humble opinion)
Chris Brogan is a gifted writer and exceptional human being as he “walks the talk”. Throughout the book, Chris invites the reader to Reach Out to him personally. Not an assistant or gatekeeper but him. So, I believe Chris intends to Educate and Model.

1. Disruption is the new norm and you can accomplish whatever it is you want by Creating a Plan AND taking Action! Start Today!
2. Explore Daily — Stay Curious AND Believe that You Choose Your Life | Your Business | Your Future AND You Are Not Alone!
3. MEDIA is the Campfire that others gather around and it is where You tell Your Story — Educate — Connect — Build Relationships and DOMINATE!
